Writing contests can be an important way to hone your writing skills and get more recognition for your name and author brand. They can give you confidence and a new following, and some even pay, so that can help you with your marketing budget. So, here is a short list of some of the contests for this year you can enter! Note that many have an entry fee or require you to be able to show up somewhere to receive the award. Be sure to read all rules carefully.
