My Favorite Fantasy Worlds

In both classic and modern literature, there have been multitudes of fantasy worlds created to capture minds young and old, ripping them out of this reality and into another. I thought it would be fun to share my three favorite fantasy worlds of all time, and invite you to share your favorites with me as well.
1. Narnia
This is the ultimate childhood dream-fantastical creatures like gryphons and talking animals meet here. You can only get here if you're a child or if you die, but that's because it is a small representation of Heaven in another realm. That's totally believable when you think of all the beautiful scenery described on the book which is awesomely brought to life in the three films they have managed to make in recent years.

2. Star Wars
I will admit, and please don't hate me, that I am not the biggest fan of the Star Wars story or movies beyond Episodes 1-3. However, I am at least attempting to understand and get into the latest offerings from JJ Abrams. What i do like, is the design and idea of the Star Wars universe. Firstly, it feels limitless in all the planets you could go and visit with all kinds of awesome aliens. I also love the idea of all the tech they have, like the flying cars in particular. Let me just say, though, i do not agree with this whole Jedis not being able to love and marry crap. It was the entire reason for Anakin's downfall, just sayin'.

3. Never Never Land
Yes, I am aware that it is generally accepted that you have to die as a child to get there unless Peter Pan happens to lose his shadow in your bedroom, but it has to be the most accurate portrayal of a world I would create for myself if I had the power. The jungle is absolutely stunning with waterfalls and tall, greenery. There are pirates and fairies. And you don't age. It's perfect.

Honorable mentions: All of these worlds are pretty awesome, but I have my reasons for them not making the official list.
1. Wonderland
Wonderland is a pretty awesome place if you're willing to risk getting your head chopped off or eating cake that makes you a giant or way too small to be seen. However, the end of these two books states that all of this is a dream, which means that the world is nothing but a girl's imagination instead of another dimension or universe. Now, I don't like to think of it this way. I feel it's right up there with Oz where it's easiest to reach in that state, but I don't believe she dreamed it all.
2. Hogwarts/Wizarding World
This is ultimately the place I would be if it was up to me, but only in the same time period as Harry Potter. It didn't make the list because I don;t know how interesting it would be outside that period of time AND because it's not particularly a fantasy world. It is a fantasy concept set in the world we already live in. The Whovian world is not on here for the exact same reason.
3. Atlantis
Atlantis has been featured in more than one movie or book, and it is awesome, However, I do not consider it to be a fantasy world. This is an island civilization that once existed and therefore is not classified as fantasy. To be clear, I do not believe they were aliens or any special beings other than being very smart and technologically advanced. However, there are too many accurate, ancient records about them to refute their existence.
