Dirty - A Poem

Poetry was actually the first thing I ever had published and one of the first things I began to write when I was a child. So, I thought while you were all waiting patiently for my books to come out that I might entertain you with a poem or two. I hope you like it!

Dirty

I walk these streets sullen and lonely

Nothing to do but hear my heart beat

Scared and lonely

I can't break my fall from grace

And I come into the hole in the graveyard

And from here on out I'll feel nothing but dirty to repent my sins

Then maybe I'll have you again

It's so hard to pull myself back together

When I was always apart

How can you hurt so much when you don't have a heart?

I stumble around under the ground

Waiting for a reason to come out again
